Our organization, NEDEAN – NED Alumni of Texas was founded on Sunday Jan. 18, 2014 in a general body meeting in Dallas. More than 50 NED alumni attended that session on a short notice. After a general discussion on organization’s objectives and bylaws that was prepared by founding members, voting was held among present NED alumni to elect a seven-member ‘Board of Directors’. NEDEAN Board was then tasked to finalize the structure & bylaws of our organization officially thru the vote of the members of the organization at a later time.

The elected board members were:

Mir Hadi Ali, Vice Chairman
Javaid Iqbal, Director of Professional Development
Javed Rafi, Director of Finance
Erum Rahman, Director of Membership
Anis Ally, Director of Public Relations & Outreach
Amir Haque, Director of Communication & Information

The NEDEAN Board members later met on Feb. 9, 2014 for the first time, where they elected directors to serve in different official positions (as you see above listed against their names) & took actions on other important matters. Board then worked diligently to review & finalize bylaws with the input from our members.
